This is the third in the series of Disney Tablescapes that I’ve been working on using the same set of dishes, flatware, Disney plush guests and often the same napkin rings as well. I wanted to see how unique the table could be even though many of the more expensive things are being reused.
The other two in the series so far are an “All Seasons ‘Drawing Disney’ Tablescape” and the recent “Mickey and Minnie ‘Get Their Green On’ for a St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape” shown below. Update 2024 – There are now may more that 3 in this series. In case you would like to check them out, I will include links for recent Mickey and Minnie posts near the end of this post.
As you can see, for this new table, the “Main Characters” are different than those on the above St. Patrick’s Day” and “Drawing Disney” tablescapes. I was so excited to see these pastel plaid Easter Greeters carrying a cloth Easter egg at Hobby Lobby in late February/early March and already at 40% off. It was especially exciting to find these locally available, as my St. Pat greeters were purchased at collector prices on eBay and I had to pay for shipping as well. I have recently discovered Disney Holiday Greeters seem to be new design each year for each holiday, and sometimes vary from one store to another within the same year and the same holiday. For example CVS sometimes carries ones with different Easter outfits than those at Homegoods, or Hobby Lobby. Have you seen them for sale at any other retail stores or online anywhere? If so, please let me know (in the Comment section at the very bottom of this post) because I seem to be always on “the hunt”.
I started this tablescape with the new Greeters above, and also with many reused items, including blue placemats, a white Waterford Tablecloth, pink cloth napkins, Vintage Mouse Ears Napkin Rings, Disney flatware, Mickey Mouse Glove Corn Holders, and the Zrike Sketchbook Dinnerware I had purchased previously for other tablescapes. The “in process” Disney Easter Tablescape is pictured above as it looked last Thursday! Although I love the Waterford tablecloth above due to its ease of care, and the number of different sizes Homegoods carries, the tablescape seemed to need a bit more color than it provided, especially since the Zrike Sketchbook Disney plates (also Homegoods) are primarily white as well. The table, as it was, obviously needed a few things!
So I headed to Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree and Walmart to see what I could add to it that would bring in more color. I have to admit, it was a fun shopping trip. One of the first things I added was the metal Easter Baskets for Mickey and Minnie. I remember the excitement of a filled basket at Easter! Did you receive one also? Was it all candy or did it include toys and other items? I thought Mickey and Minnie needed a basket with an Easter plush, and a few other things as well. Minnie’s basket includes a peep key chain, a Minnie mouse doll, “peep” play dough, and a peep lollipop. She also received a plush rabbit, which she is holding. Mickey’s basket is similar but with a plush lamb, rather than a rabbit. The Disney “guests” seemed to need baskets as well. Their’s are pictured below.
The Plate Stack was simple, but finding the right placemat in my “stash” took 4 tries. I liked this one because of the color, and because its woven edge gave it an “Easter Basket look”
I also picked up some things while shopping to add some color to the table and to each place setting. At Walmart I found a lot of the “Peep” items, including the “Ball Popper”. From the photo on the package, it appears that the balls can be popped out, kind of like the old ping pong ball shooters. However, I was never able to get this feature to work, and then I remembered kids used to call these “poopers” because that is actually what the process looks like. As that seemed weird for an Easter table, I decided to use just the bunnies on the table (without the little balls). I love the blue and pink bunnies with the blue and pink plaid Mickey and Minnie outfits! The “poppers” were half price so definitely worth the “investment”!
In addition, I added mini favor baskets from Hobby Lobby to each place setting, and put a dollar tree blue or pink egg in each. Around these I placed the Mickey Mouse corn holder gloved hands.
Napkin Rings – Vintage Mickey Mouse Ears Napkin Rings
I alternated the blue “peeps” bunnies – pink at one place setting… blue at the next, and also alternated the basket and egg colors at each setting.
At the table center, I added little Hobby Lobby walking chicks (wind up) and bunnies, as if they were walking around Minnie and Mickey. Blue and pink confetti from Dollar Tree’s gift wrap and party section finished off the table center.
Walking Chicks and White Bunnies (wind up) Move Around Minnie and Mickey’s Feet
In the rest of the dining room, I left my Disney items “on Display”. I added some Hobby Lobby egg garland to both the server and the lit tree.
Thanks so much for joining Mickey, Minnie and I for our Easter Celebration! We are …
I hope you have time to “hop” on by and see some of my other Easter and Spring posts and my April 2nd Sunset on the lake.

Jennifer, I’m so glad you liked the lit tree with the garland in my Mickey and Minnie Celebrate Easter Post! I’ve found all kinds of uses for that because in is so light (it really doesn’t damage anything) I lay it on tables, and other furniture, and also hang it from my chandelier too. So fun and inexpensive! thanks so much for such a nice comment! – Patty

YOu really go all out. Do you host a lot of parties or is this just for family dinner? Happy easter to you. Thanks for sharing with #Allseasons
Patty | 28th Mar 24
Lydia, Thanks so much for such a nice comment about my Mickey and Minnie Easter tablescape. I’m so glad you like it! You asked if we host a lot of parties, we do some but not a large amount. We do host a fair amount of dinners at the lake, and when I do a tablescape I love it if we can have another couple or family over for a meal. I also do the tablescapes to decorate the house for each holiday, as we enjoy just looking at all the different holiday decorations as we pass by the dining room, and of course at meal time. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, and for all you do to host the great #Allseasons link party. – Patty
